We continue to be overwhelmed by the number of extraordinary fundraising challenges and activities people are taking part in, in aid of the Rosemary Appeal. The latest challenge that has been brought to our attention is an incredible cycle ride of the length of France. On the 18th of May John and Lorraine Murrell will be cycling from the English Channel to the Mediterranean, covering approximately 900 miles over 14 days. The dynamic duo is aiming to average 70 miles a day and to climb an impressive 65,000 feet.

The Arrival of the new CT Scanner!

Posted: Jan 04, 2018

We are thrilled to announce that the CT scanner is now in place at the new centre at West Berkshire hospital. CT scanning is a fast, painless, non-invasive and highly accurate piece of equipment, and is vital for diagnosing and monitoring illnesses.

We can also report that the scanner has already been successfully tried and tested with a patient just yesterday. There will now be a month of training for staff at the hospital to prepare for when it is fully up in running in February.

It feels like it has been a long time coming but we are thrilled to announce that the building work for the new centre has recently been kicked off at the West Berkshire hospital! This would not be possible without the phenomenal amount of kind donations, fundraising efforts and support we have received from so many people across West Berkshire.

Progress So Far...

We are completely overwhelmed by the phenomenal number of people who have willingly contributed to The Rosemary Appeal, either by making an individual contribution or by organising and taking part in a fundraising activity. We can’t begin tell you the impact that all of this will have on the total money raised. Because of your help, cancer patients across West Berkshire will soon experience a much more pleasant and convenient place to receive treatment.

The Rosemary Appeal Raise £11,000 at the Vineyard with Pam Ayres

Posted: Mar 20, 2017

As you may know, we recently held an auction dinner at the Vineyard hotel in Newbury. The black tie event included a delicious 6 course dinner, with guests including local artist Elizabeth Harwood and poet/presenter Pam Ayres.

We are delighted to say that the charity auction raised £11,000 for the Rosemary Appeal. Thank-you to everyone who attended and helped to ensure the event was such a success; the money raised will certainly help bring us closer to the final target.
