It feels like it has been a long time coming but we are thrilled to announce that the building work for the new centre has recently been kicked off at the West Berkshire hospital! This would not be possible without the phenomenal amount of kind donations, fundraising efforts and support we have received from so many people across West Berkshire.

We are completely overwhelmed by the phenomenal number of people who have willingly contributed to The Rosemary Appeal, either by making an individual contribution or by organising and taking part in a fundraising activity. We can’t begin tell you the impact that all of this will have on the total money raised. Because of your help, cancer patients across West Berkshire will soon experience a much more pleasant and convenient place to receive treatment.   

Fantastic news- £155,000 match funding announced for The Rosemary Appeal!

We are incredibly pleased to announce that, through The Good Exchange, The Rosemary Appeal have more two more funders match funding donations. These include Newbury based charity Peter Baker Foundation and The Englefield Charitable Trust! These two new funders have matched a combined amount of £155,000 for the Rosemary Appeal, which will make a huge difference in terms of reaching the final target!

As you may know, we recently held an auction dinner at the Vineyard hotel in Newbury. The black tie event included a delicious 6 course dinner, with guests including local artist Elizabeth Harwood and poet/presenter Pam Ayres.

We are delighted to say that the charity auction raised £11,000 for the Rosemary Appeal. Thank-you to everyone who attended and helped to ensure the event was such a success; the money raised will certainly help bring us closer to the final target.

Jones Robinson: Corporate Sponsors for the Appeal

As you may or may not be aware, esteemed local letting and estate agents Jones Robinson has become the first major corporate sponsor of The Rosemary Appeal. Jones Robinson, whose branches are located in Newbury and Lambourn, will kindly be making financial contributions towards the appeal. The estate agent has also generously offered to actively promote the appeal and to organise and run a number of fundraising events.

The Rosemary Appeal raise over £1,600 at the Corn Exchange!

The Rosemary Appeal’s fundraising efforts are well underway, with the ‘Pitch to the Panel’ event at the Corn Exchange, Newbury bringing our latest donation.

Held in conjunction with the Greenham Common Trust, the Pitch to the Panel event gave a host of local charities and community organisations appealing for their share of the £100,000 kindly offered by the Trust.

The Newbury & Thatcham Hospital Building Trust and the Newbury & District Cancer Care Trust have worked hard to build a much needed renal dialysis unit and a cancer care unit at West Berkshire Community Hospital.

After several years work the charities are launching an appeal for fund on Thursday 6th October at the hospital.

Many people will have their quality of life improved by this facility and it is hoped to open in June 2017. Your support in raising money is needed - find out how you can get involved.
